About Us: "Race For The Kids" is a promotional group
specializing in fundraising through powerboat racing benefiting local
children's charities. Since the inaugural race in 2005, "Race For The
Kids" has become an annual event in Central Florida. In
2005 and 2006, Tiger Lake, Lake Wales, Florida was the site where we
hosted Stock Races to benefit the Florida Lions Camp, a camp for
children and young adults with varying disabilities. With a change in
venue in 2007 to Lake Wailes in Lake Wales but still benefiting the
Florida Lions Camp, the US Title Series entertained the sizable crowds
with Pro Hydro racing action.
April 2008, "Race For The Kids" joined forces with the Lake Wales Kiwanis Club to raise money for their key project "Barney's Dream", a playground designed especially for handicapped children.
October 2008, "The Worlds'08" An International event featuring 80 drivers & teams from around the world to benefit the Lake Alfred Lions Club, the Winter Haven Boy Scouts & The City of Lake Alfred
